Photo A Day: Jasmine Flower
To try and keep me honest in posting my photos regularly: Welcome to my Photo A Day! Topic: Whatever strikes my fancy. Frequency: Daily-ish, I hope.I was walking down the street on a beautiful, gentle summer day when the most glorious smell snuck up and grabbed me. It was wild and fresh, kind of spicy, and I swear, it tickled me deep inside my brain. Of course, I had to follow the smell to its source. It was a jasmine tree. Or bush, maybe, but a large one. I was kind of surprised to see flowering jasmine in central PA, as I'd always thought it would require a more...I don't know...steamy?...climate. But there it was, flowering away in Lewisburg, and throwing its scent for blocks.Since there are roughly forty million different kinds of jasmine and I am not a plant girl, I have no idea which specific plant is in the photo. But I'm always happy to receive information, so if you want to show off your plant knowledge and lay a little learnin' on me then please, go to. Until then...
