Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Patterns
We tend to think of visual patterns as bright or beautiful or meaningful things--a classic argyle, the tangle of a Celtic knot, my own beloved paisley--but all a pattern is, is a repetition. We find patterns everywhere (and sometimes we find them too often), whether it's in music or behavior or...everything. Water. Seismic waves. Bad luck. And sometimes, we find strangely compelling patterns in the support structure of a train bridge spanning the Susquehanna River, at the Shikellamy Marina. Sometimes, just looking up reveals beauty in the most unexpected places. Want to play along? Drop by and check out the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge. The formal announcement and rules can be found here.
