Big Beautiful World 51 - Spider Web in the Mist

It’s a big, beautiful world out there. Please enjoy it responsibly. I kind of unreasonably love the Stephen King story The Mist; I'll watch the movie every time it comes on, and who's got two thumbs and was DVR'ing the series that ran on Spike for 10 episodes? That's right. This girl. With all that said, it's probably not so surprising that I love mist and fog. I love the way it envelops everything, I love that it's weirdly chilling, I love that it's kind of eerie and quiet. And it blows me away when mist clings to a spider web and transforms it into a string of ephemeral pearls. This is right outside my front door. The bad news: this is right outside my front door, and when it's not misty it's pretty creepy, but the thought of cleaning it kind of skeeves me out. The good news: I save a ton on Halloween decorations. Enjoy the beautiful world! Sometimes, it's as close as your own front door.
