Big Beautiful World 71 - Street Art, Reykjavik, Iceland

It's a big, beautiful world out there and man...are we ever screwing it up. It's supposed to be roughly the temperature of the surface of the sun today and I am missing both travel and winter. I'm pretty open about how much I dislike summer heat, and I vacation in places like Boston and New York State...and Iceland...in the winter. Since I can't go see anything new right now, I figured I'd revisit past visits and remember. COVID may keep me grounded but I still have my pictures! Also, I have to remember to back my images up... Moving on.Reykjavik is the world's northernmost sovereign-state capital and is a heckin' good time. Along with the various cultural institutions and a vibrant restaurant scene, Reykjavik is home to some pretty spectacular street art. The art here is not as flashy as some other examples, tucked away in the courtyard of a building we wandered into (following the art along the walkway, to the right in the picture) but I love it for its simplicity and it hits me right in the feels. This would the the ultimate in bird-nerding. And oh, to need a scarf again. Also, here's my PSA: Back up your files. I know what I'm doing this afternoon. :)
