Big Beautiful World 74 - Great Blue Heron, Sunbury, PA

It’s a big, beautiful world out there and man…are we ever screwing it up.I started taking a road-less-traveled to work...making a right instead of a left, going around the mountain instead of through town, and I get to see a lot more of what makes central PA special. In fact, it's so pretty I even drive around there on my off days. There's a dam at the first right over the bridge, and yesterday I was lucky enough to meet up with this fine fellow, sunning himself in Sunbury.One of the things I love about great blue herons is that no matter how regal they are, they still manage to look a little bit like an old man. And this one wants you to stay off his lawn.
