Big Beautiful World 78 - Omni Hotel, Pittsburgh
It’s a big, beautiful world out there. Wny do we keep insisting on screwing it up?
We took a family trip to Pittsburgh for a weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and stayed at the swanked-out Omni William Penn Hotel. Other than a few ventures outside the bubble to see family, this was our first “let’s go and stay in a hotel in a town that no one in our family lives in!” in a year and a half. Fine, we were related to everyone we traveled with. It’s still different.
Take note: This is not an advertisement for the Omni William Penn Hotel. I had my quibbles, but if their people want to call my people we can talk.
Anyway. It was very swank and way old-school money, with lots of heavy-looking things made out of some kind of highly-polished rock, and an impressive array of ceiling medallions and chandeliers. That were, of course, positioned in front of the highly reflective, large arch glass doors.
That twinkle goes on and on forever. Artistically placed lady on her phone under the chandelier: A bonus. Thanks, lady!
