Photo A Day: Frozen Spider Web, January 19, 2017

In honor of getting a new camera and needing a reason to play with it…welcome to my Photo A Day! Topic: Whatever strikes my fancy. Frequency: Daily-ish. I hope.Probably not as effective at bug catching as one might hope.If I was more fastidious about cleaning, I suppose I never would have gotten this photo. Happily, I am not terribly fastidious about cleaning, particularly not outdoors, and as a result this spider web has been hanging around since at least some time this past summer. And today, it was frozen in the morning. They're kind of weird, webs like this. They're supposed to be spun of gossamer, silken, one step away from being air. And this? The web is clumsy and misshapen but still, somehow...Beautiful.The world can be a pretty cool place, if you take the time to look.Plus, this gives me further incentive to never clean again. :)
